Design

Design is not restricted to websites or ads, anything requires some level of design. Personally, I have only designed graphics for news stories, and templates for social media posts. These are small but they still make a huge difference. For example, people associate words with images. When I am sharing statistics I will put up images that relate to what I am saying to engage the viewer and to help them retain the information. I will also design layouts for social media posts. To provide information in an interesting way I will make artistically pleasing graphics to make social media information interesting by catching a viewers eye.

I designed this wrestling graphic to promote an upcoming wrestling match. The image of the wrestlers will grab any viewers attention and will help them remember the event because they can relate it to the image. I also added the blue and yellow lines to represent our school colors to support the wrestling team.

I designed this simple social media post to quickly inform people that the tennis team had won their match. I used a simple black background to make the blue and yellow words stand out and I added a photo of one of the CHS tennis players to relate the words to an image.

I designed this social media template as a way to share our shows movie quiz winner. It is simple and the name of the winner is in large letters to grab the viewers attention so they do not have to read through the entire post. To the right, the image of the winner can be inserted so people can put a face to the name and people can proudly share a photo of their friends and family.

In one of my broadcast stories, I designed these simple graphics to go along with my voice over. If I only used a graph and numbers my viewers would not be retaining my information, so I made these graphics that relate to what I am saying to make the statistics stick with my viewers.
